We have begun planning our next Party Safari. Codename: The Strictly Business Tour. We mean business.
In order to fund the tour, we have entered THIS CONTEST to win $100 000! We really want to keep doing DDPs, and all it takes is for you to vote. You can vote once a day until the contest finishes, and hopefully you will WIN A DDP IN YOUR CITY!
Although Party Safari was a great time and a huge success, we lost a ton of money doing it, and so we have created this Slick Merchandise Page for our Christmas Fundraiser.
Please help us keep the DDP alive!
UPDATE: the fundraising page has now expired- thanks to all who supported us 🙂
But most items are still available via the merchandise page above…
BUT!
The weather was perfect.
No problems with our motorhome.
Our Banana Task Force went above and beyond, night after night.
No technical difficulties- our Party Broadcasts were received loud and clear.
The police were unbelievably accommodating and a great help everywhere we went.
Thousands showed up and gave it their all, Partying crazily yet respectfully in every city.
And we only lost about ninety stereos in total- not bad for Seven Wild DDPs!
We Partied Hard every stop of the tour and received unanimously positive reviews from everyone who came out and shared the DDP experience with us.
It was also great to have such a diverse array of people embrace our “Canadian” theme and it felt like we really did manage to re-create the indescribable Unity+Joy+Canadian Pride that we’d experienced only once before- during Vancouver’s recent Olympic celebrations 🙂
Young and Old, Black and White, Male and Female- from Crust Punks and Party Animals to Nerds and Natives. From Jocks and Juggalos to Shy Asians and Scandalous Sex-bombs. The DDP truly is a Party for everyone. A crazy communal undertaking that brought thousands of strangers together to sing and dance and enjoy life to the fullest in the fine streets of our fine country!
The only downside was that in spite of generous donations from hundreds of people, we didn’t manage to raise enough money to cover our costs… We will post the grim details soon, along with a new fund-raising page that includes links to new Party Safari t-shirt designs for those who wish to help 🙂 (t-shirts already ordered will be printed+shipped asap) UPDATE: Fund-raiser page now up HERE
We’re also working on videos for each stop.

HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT AND SUPPORTED THE CAUSE!
WE ARE PROUD TO BE CANADIAN AND CAN’T WAIT TO PARTY WITH EVERYONE AGAIN IN THE SPRING!
FIRST CANADA, AND THEN THE WORLD!
ALSO!
The Grand Finale Vancouver DDP was totally wild and was possibly the most fun of all…
Ten hours of absolute Banandemonium, and our Elite Banana Party Army is now formed and ready for Action… For all the details, click HERE
We survived Party Safari. To celebrate, we assembled a 70-strong Banana Army and ran amuck for several hours, then teamed up with another 500 food cohorts at the Vancouver Art Gallery and embarked on a Party Marathon that lasted 10 straight hours. Not even the relentless Vancouver rain could stop us from Partying hard till the sun came up!
Highlights include: going bananas on the skytrain, going bananas in waterfront station, going bananas in the Bananadome, the Forbidden Banana Dance at the VAG, Skate Rink Dance Party, Skate Rink Food Fight and Brodie’s Escalator.
Huge thanks to everybody that came out in Banana Gear, Food Costumery, and anyone else who had an awesome time!
Unfortunately
This will be the last DDP for some time. Tom and Gary have exhausted their bodies, brains, wallets, boombox fleet, batteries, health and sanity. We will be hibernating for awhile, rebuilding for our 2011 North American Party Safari / Round-The-World Global Party Pandemic.
In The Meantime

We survived Party Safari. We Partied Hard from coast to coast and back to rave reviews from the thousands who came out and shared in the DDP experience.
It was awesome.
And now it’s time for our Grand Finale Banana Blowout in Vancouver.
We have about 100 banana suits and are going to raise an Elite Banana Party Army. The theme is food (but mostly bananas).
Oh yeah! The Party Safari Finale in Calgary, Alberta was killer! We definitely saw the most elaborate costumery at this Party and even below-freezing temperatures couldn’t stop more than 1000 revelers from dancing into the night. Everyone had a blast and danced their butts off from the Nexen Building all the way down 8th Ave to the Olympic Square. Some highlights include boogie-board crowd surfing in the alley, limbo through the streets, the Baby Boomer’s smoke, and Olympic Square Slow Dance.
We want to thank everyone who came out and the Calgary Police for assisting us in maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. We will see everyone in the near future! Stay tuned!
We have made it to the final destination of our Coast to Coast Canadian Party Safari. We have driven 13 000 km across Canada and back. We have had a tremendous amount of fun. We have met so many amazing and great people. We can’t wait to see everyone again in the future.
But first we are having the Grand Finale Coast to Coast Canadian Party Safari Decentralized Dance Party. It is in Calgary. It is tonight. It starts at 8pm. It starts at the Nexen building fountain. It will bring humans together in a grand celebration of Dance, Fashion, Performance, Love, Art, and Partying. It’s it.
We have made the impromptu decision to stop in Regina for a last-minute DDP. It is tonight. It will be amazing. Grown men will weep openly and Partying will span the great human divide. If you feel like experiencing a DDP in Regina, investigate the details at our facebook event page HERE>
